For elderly people with dementia, music is extremely important and a connecting factor.
In consultation with the activities supervisor, a lot is possible on this afternoon.
The singing afternoon is well attended by residents and often family members.
An enthusiastic group of volunteers helps wherever they can.
We offer a good atmosphere and a group of colleagues in which you are very welcome.
Job tasks and duties
We are looking for someone who plays an instrument and can play older songs and/or sing-alongs.
Every Tuesday afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., you make our residents very happy with your music.
A large group of residents sing and dance happily this afternoon.
Job skills and qualities
Be able to play old-Dutch songs and popular sing-alongs. Does not have to be exclusively Dutch-speaking. Be able to respond to the target audience and support singing.
Extra information
You certainly don't have to be able to play music perfectly; it's about fun for our residents.
Even if you are unsure whether it is something for you, feel free to respond. We will then start the conversation openly and see if we can do something for each other.
