Place the World connects people, far away and close by. Because only together can we make the world fairer and more beautiful.
Our approachable volunteer organisation is an educational activity centre where we share knowledge and inspiration about a lifestyle close to nature and the world's multicolour. We do so honestly, respectfully and enjoyably. We work together with schools, churches, civil society organisations and local authorities.
The communications officer general position includes:
- Actively thinking along and setting out the lines of communication and strategy to put the organisation Place the World in the limelight.
- Maintaining the website.
- Writing the quarterly newsletter and interim mailings, to draw attention to the activities.
- Writing press releases and liaising with the press.
- Providing advertisements, social media/facebook posts and information in building and yard.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
An education and/or experience in communications and PR.
- Enthusiastic about the vision and objective of Place the World.
- Has a practical attitude and can work independently.
- A team player and can work according to a communication handle.
- Someone with communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Creative and knows how to make full use of free publicity since we work on a low-budget basis.
- 2-4 half-days per month is available.
