De Dilgt is a residential care location in Haren for elderly people, people with dementia and rehabilitants. Residents experience De Dilgt as a modern and friendly location with a complete range of facilities. Job tasks and duties
WelZINN offers a comprehensive programme focused on the well-being of older people. There is a focus on art, music and culture. We organise recurring activities, organise theme weeks and take part in various projects. Volunteering within elderly care is incredibly diverse!
As a supervisor at the musical performances, you will offer support during this activity at De Dilgt residential care facility in Haren. You will make sure that the residents receive a cup of coffee or tea with sweets upon entering and during the interval. During the performance, you sit with the residents and enjoy the show together. After the performance, you and other volunteers will make sure everything is cleaned up and you will close the activity together.
We are looking for companions for the performances on Wednesday evenings (once a month). The performance is from 19:30 - 21:00, you should be present around 18:30.
Job skills and qualities
What do we ask?
- People-oriented and social: you have an eye for the needs of the elderly target group and are able to make a connection.
- Knowledge of the target group: preferably you have experience with or knowledge of older people, e.g. people with dementia or somatic conditions.
- Commitment: you are willing to engage with others and enjoy working together in a team of volunteers and professionals.
- Compatience and respect: you respect residents' wishes and boundaries and provide them with the care and attention they deserve.
