Job tasks and duties
The Old Library is looking for a facilitator for its crochet and knitting club Get Hooked. This sociable group of crafters meets on Tuesday mornings from 10am-12pm (and in the future possibly on an evening to be scheduled) at The Old Library.
You will supervise the crafters of Get Hooked together with the current supervisor. The club has a lot of fun together, but also has serious conversations. As a facilitator, you must therefore be a good listener. And of course, knowledge of crocheting and knitting is a plus! The group currently has 14 members.
As a companion of Get Hooked, these are your duties:
- Supervise a sociable group of crafters, together with the other supervisor.
- Be willing to delve into different crochet and knitting techniques and transfer your knowledge.
- Be willing to have a chat and socialise with everyone.
- Make coffee and tea beforehand and clean up afterwards and leave the room tidy.
- Organising and hosting a Christmas lunch at De Oude Bieb for the craftsmen of Get Hooked.
- Creating and sending parcels of cuddly toys and blankets together for Stichting Het Troostdekentje.
Job skills and qualities
- You enjoy being creative and are (preferably) an experienced craftsperson.
- You also enjoy being sociable and lending a listening ear to your fellow neighbours.
- You are willing to develop and share your knowledge of, and skills in, various crafting techniques.
