Under the name Neighbourhoods at Bernlef, various works are being carried out in and around the Bernlef residential care centre. The 100-plus flats mainly house elderly people, who are supported in certain areas. WerkPro's neighbourhood restaurant is located on the ground floor. More than 60 neighbours from the Paddepoel district eat in the restaurant every day. We also deliver meals at home to the residents of the residential care centre.
Are you a born host/lady who enjoys working independently and dares to take responsibility for our guests? Then this might be a vacancy for you! We are looking for a host / hostess to open and close the restaurant and supervise moments for groups who have rented our space in the evening / afternoon and or weekends. You will join a fun team of all enthusiastic colleagues that you will work with on larger events!
Job tasks and duties
- Prepairing our rooms for the relevant activity.
- Opening and closing the restaurant for our guests.
- Work may involve, for example, an evening where an association meeting takes place in the restaurant, a bingo afternoon, parties at weekends where we have rented out the room.
- Hosting guests.
- Making coffee and tea so that the guests lack nothing.
- Serving and supporting people who have hired our restaurant for a party, for example. You are then the point of contact and responsible for the course of the evening.
- Assisting in the restaurant every other Friday at the Bingo afternoon/music afternoon/ pub quiz.
Job skills and qualities
- Social institution.
- Seeing the work for yourself.
- Don't mind working more independently (not always, of course!).
- Standing on your feet.
- Want to work flexibly.
