This is a creative function in which you develop new things that are then used for years.
You will contribute to better knowledge about autism in adults, from the perspective of people with autism themselves.
You will be part of a team of more than 45 autistic adults. You will get to know new people with autism. Our working methods are geared to autistic characteristics.
You will be told clearly what is expected of you. We work with written out job descriptions and guidelines.
You can do this volunteer work from home, from anywhere in the Netherlands or Belgium. All contact takes place via e-mail, WhatsApp and Zoom.
Job tasks and duties
- We are looking for a volunteer who has autism himself to set up online training sessions for our volunteers.
- Within Autism Digital, 40-45 volunteers are active, all of whom have autism. Over the next two years, we want to develop online on-demand training courses for our expert by experience positions. These are the positions: blogger, webinar presenter and discussion group leader. As coordinator, you will oversee and steer this process.
What are the tasks?
You will participate in the coordinators' meeting once a month (max 1 hour).
You will form and lead a working group of 3-4 volunteers.
You will meet once a month with the working group (max 1 hour); you will lead the meeting and prepare it.
You collect input for the training sessions from the other coordinators and from the board.
Job skills and qualities
You have a background in education or experience in training development.
You can work well independently and take action yourself without needing to be reminded.
You can communicate timely and clearly via whatsapp, email and zoom.
Experience in leadership in a professional or voluntary context is a plus, but not a requirement.
