Job tasks and duties
The Savings Lab is a kind of savings circle, but especially for young people aged between 16 and 26. In small groups, members save for and own savings goal and explore their relationship with money, learn more about planning and budgeting, and actually start saving for something they want. In short, a fun and educational experience that promotes a conscious financial mindset and imparts skills that will remain relevant for a lifetime!
As a savings lab supervisor, you will help set up the savings lab at eye level with the young people. In the savings lab, you will help make appointments, divide tasks and discuss everything that young people consider important in their savings lab. You will supervise the savings lab at least intensively for 10 meetings while going through training materials.
Job skills and qualities
- You can interact and talk well with young people, you can listen well and make clear agreements.
- In addition, you stick to agreements, you can create a pleasant atmosphere and you like to coach at eye level.
- Furthermore, you speak, read and write Dutch well. It is also important that you like maths: addition and subtraction, with or without a calculator.
Extra information
Before you start the first savings lab, you will receive a training consisting of 2 days. We will help and coach you at the start of the savings lab, and afterwards as well.
In addition, you will be given a volunteer contract. Your expenses will be reimbursed and you will receive a volunteer allowance. And after the savings cycle period, if you have guided a group well, you will receive a certificate. That certificate can help you when you want to guide new saving circles or if you want to find other work.
