With this voluntary work, you will meet many different elderly people, working on Saturdays and making outings with the elderly. In consultation with the coordinator, you will have a lot of freedom and make every outing, a fun one.
Job tasks and duties
On the day of the outing, you will first collect the rented bus, on location in Groningen. Then you will pick up a hostess and together you will pick up the participants at home. When everyone is boarded and ready, you will leave for the location. On the way you choose a nice route, which doesn't necessarily have to be the fastest one. When you arrive at the location, you make sure people can get off safely and you park the bus. During the outing, you help the hostess guide the participants where possible. On the return trip, there is often time for a cup of coffee, at a location chosen by mutual agreement. You then bring the participants back home one by one, including the hostess. Then it's time to return the bus and the working day is over again!
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
It is important that you have a driving licence. We mostly use an electric bus, but sometimes still use a petrol one with shifting.
Some knowledge of the area is an advantage, as is experience in chauffeuring people.
