Extra information
We are looking for an autistic volunteer to stand in for the coordinator of our blog who is on sick leave.
On our blog website 'Autism is multifaceted', a blog by someone with autism appears every week. Because 15 different bloggers participate, we show the versatility of autism. There is an editor who checks the blogs and puts them on the website, you don't have to do that. You will, however, be responsible for further coordination.
About the organisation
Foundation Autisme Digitaal provides information about autism in adults. We do this from an autistic perspective. In our blogs, webinars and discussion groups, we let people with autism have their say. We also offer autistic adults opportunities to volunteer online. We want to create an environment where we bring out the best in people and where their talents are maximised. We therefore adopt an individual approach based on assessments, regular feedback and short contact lines. What more could a person want?
To be a volunteer at Autism Digital
We are looking for new people to join our team with their unique competences and skills. We want to create an environment where all talents can flourish to their maximum potential, regardless of gender, age, cultural origin, nationality or disability. Work is not optional, but we put as little pressure on it as possible. You can always turn to the rest of the team if you are at a loss for words.
Because we are an organisation for and by autistic adults, we do not take on volunteers who are under 18 or who are not autistic themselves. This allows us to guarantee volunteer experience placements for autistic adults and keeps our activities based on our own experience of having autism as an adult.
Procedure
Are you interested? Then contact our president, Frederik Boven. He will contact you within 24 hours (excluding holidays). He will then make an appointment for an interview via Zoom. This interview will take about 35-40 minutes. If you like, someone you know can be present during the interview. If you want, you can get the questions in advance. On the one hand, this interview serves to get to know you and see if the position suits you. On the other hand, we will give more information about the position and our organisation.
