Job tasks and duties
- The Friends Bus allows our residents to go on outings, alone or with some family members.
- A volunteer will accompany you, for guidance.
- You do not have to drive, we also employ volunteer drivers.
- You keep in touch with the elderly person and make sure the outing is managed.
Job skills and qualities
- Social.
- Able to connect well with others.
- Responsible.
- Able to manage an outing on a practical level.
- Experience with elderly people with dementia is a plus, but not a requirement.
Extra information
The Friend Bus is an incredibly fun initiative at Dignis.
Our residents can choose from a number of outings with the Friend Bus, for example a fish dinner in Zoutkamp, or a day out in Giethoorn. Residents can, by agreement, also choose an outing themselves.
You volunteer (together with the volunteer driver) to go with the resident to make the outing a success, how fun!
