As a volunteer digital contributor to the AIC Groningen, you take care of the image of autism. As knowledge about autism has fortunately changed and we can and, above all, now want to talk about neurodiversity, your role in this is a shining example. Normalising instead of problematising and treating autism as a different development instead of thinking in terms of a disorder. You can make the difference as the digital face of the AIC Groningen. As a volunteer, you will join the AIC in a close-knit and committed team. There is room for your own input and ample opportunity to improve your expertise by attending relevant webinars and/or physical meetings. As we work within our team both with people with autism and people without autism, you will be in a dynamic environment where you can learn a lot. We work with a travel allowance and a volunteer allowance.
Job tasks and duties
As a volunteer at the AIC Groningen you have experience, affinity with autism and you are able to prepare and share current developments regarding autism via our AIC Facebook on a weekly basis. But you also know how to strike the right tone in collaboration with other organizations as a representative of the AIC Groningen on the digital web. We represent the interests of everyone dealing with autism without preference or profit motive.
In addition to our AIC Facebook, we also have our AIC Mailchimp in which we send an email for our Appointment Morning and Auticafe almost every month, and email about our Theme Evening several times a year. Creating representative text and images is an important part of your work.
Minimum education level: havo/vwo
Job skills and qualities
The necessary skills and qualities we are looking for in you are: creativity, being able to work independently but also in a team context and sometimes with other parties. This does not always have to be physical and can often be done online. You know your way around relevant and up-to-date information on autism. And you are familiar with working with Facebook and Mailchimp. You also have an affinity with digital programmes such as Photoshop. You enjoy getting to the heart of a story and being able to translate it into words and images.
