Together with a staff member and a number of clients, you will prepare/cook a tasty meal with the cooking group once every 14 days. In consultation with the participants, you will discuss what they like and what they would like to make next time. If you like, you can also join a participant in getting groceries for the meal, but if you don't want to/cannot do this, there is also the possibility of having the staff order the groceries.

Job tasks and duties

  • Joint preparation and cooking of the meal.
  • Guiding the participants during cooking.
  • Eating together and clearing up and washing up afterwards.
  • Eventually going shopping with a participant.

Minimum education level: lbo/mavo/vmbo

Job skills and qualities

  • You must enjoy cooking.
  • You are interested in people from mental health backgrounds.
  • To be able to create conviviality and chat with participants for a while, someone who finds it engaging to give the other person a nice moment of the day, to be a people person.

Extra information

As a volunteer, you will contribute to a piece of well-being for the participants. The participants like to have a moment once a week so they can enjoy a home-cooked meal together. Coming into contact with other people is very important, so we help them break through social isolation.
