You make people very happy with your help!!! The fact that people are often unable to go independently causes a lot of stress (e.g. that you have to get to the right polyclinic in the maze of the UMCG the residents often cannot oversee) If you can help them with that by guiding them to the destination, it makes their day.
Job tasks and duties
If there are residents who have a short appointment in e.g. the hospital or need to go to the dentist and are unable to go themselves, a volunteer will be called from the transport team, and you as a volunteer will be asked if you could bring and accompany the resident in question to his or her appointment and back home.
This, then, is what you will do. You will pick up the resident from Hamrikheem and bring and accompany them to the appointment and then also back home. Travel expenses will of course be reimbursed.
Minimum education level: lbo/mavo/vmbo
Job skills and qualities
- You must possess a driving licence and have a car.
- To be a people person.
- Have a calm and friendly appearance.
- To be calm.
- Have patience.
- Have some knowledge of people with mental health issues and be able to deal with them.
