Maxima Stad is a clothing bank that provides free high-quality clothing to minima in the municipality of Groningen. The shop is located at Oosterhamriklaan and is run entirely by enthusiastic and committed volunteers. An equally voluntary board ensures that the shop is healthy and future-proof. The board keeps an overview of the financial situation and operations and maintains contact with the municipality, the Voedselbank and other cooperating parties.
Maxima Stad is part of the provincial network Kledingbanken Maxima, consisting of seven clothing banks (Maxima Stad, Midden Groningen, Eemsdelta, Veendam, Oldambt, Westerkwartier and Hogeland). Kledingbanken Maxima places emphasis on sustainable operations.
Job tasks and duties
As a general board member, you will be involved in the ups and downs of the clothing bank and help think about its developments in the broadest sense.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
- You have feeling with and empathy for our target group.
- You are digitally savvy.
- You are happy to commit on average 1 hour per week (including 1 x per month attendance at the board meeting).
Extra information
This availability is for 9 months of the year: Maxima City is closed in February due to the collection change and in July and August there is summer recess.
