From 13 to 15 December, the dark days before Christmas, some twenty atmospherically lit historic ships on the Hoge, Lage and Kleine der A, the Pottebakkersrijge and the Sluiskade form the fairy-tale backdrop for the city's cosiest winter event: WinterWelVaart.
A number of ships, Museumcafé Het Pomphuis, Museum aan de A, the der Aa-Theater and the Akerk are packed with performances. From music to theatre to lectures and exhibitions to creative workshops.
This is how we bring an Ode to Groningen.
At this FREE event, which we are organising for the 17th time this year, there will also be a cosy market organised by Vitalis Markten. The market will be open on Friday 13 December 16.00 - 22.00 Saturday 14 December, 12.00 - 22.00 and Sunday 15 December, 12.00 - 18.00.
Job tasks and duties
As a host or hostess, you will interact with the stallholders at the market. You chat with them and bring them a cup of hot coffee or tea a few times a day. You will walk in pairs along part of the stalls of the WinterWelVaart market. The market runs from the Hoge and Kleine der A via Turftorenstraat, Kromme Elleboog and Zwanestraat to the Grote Markt. Your base is Museum on the A or the Town Hall.
