You make an important difference in the lives of these local residents. Making their home tidy is nice, but being there, offering a listening ear and bringing sociability is actually much more important.
Job tasks and duties
You will help the resident with light housework, such as vacuuming, doing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom, shopping, taking down kitchen cupboards, etc. You will review and discuss what is needed on a case-by-case basis. These local residents are unable to do much themselves, but do not (yet) have an indication for home care.
In addition, you will be pleasant company for the resident, and make contact over coffee, a game or a walk.
Job skills and qualities
You are a go-getter, practical by nature. You are also caring and like a nice chat or a game. You bring cheer to these people, who are often lonely.
