Interesting about this job
The Odensehuis Groningen has been the meeting place for anyone dealing with memory problems or dementia for 12 years. It is a place where everyone is allowed to be who they are and where there is room to participate based on their own abilities. And not just for those with memory problems, but for everyone who is part of their network. Daily life is the guiding principle, the visitors' needs are the starting point. The Odensehuis is not a care institution and differs from this in a number of ways. For example, the Odensehuis does not require an indication and no care file or treatment plan is drawn up. The Odensehuis originated from a citizens' initiative. In 12 years' time, it has developed into a facility that has become indispensable in the municipality of Groningen. It has passed the pioneering phase. The municipality of Groningen supported the initiative (financially) from the beginning. Partly as a result, the Odensehuis now has 3 locations in the city of Groningen (on Molukkenstraat and in the SinnigeStee on Donderslaan and Amkemakoepl in Beijum), each with a professional and paid coordinator. These coordinators are supported by volunteers. In addition, the Odensehuis is a recognised learning company: many students make a valuable contribution during their internships. See also www.odensehuisgroningen.nl The coordinators of the 3 locations are supported by one (volunteer) board, which bears final responsibility. Due to the departure of one of the board members, we are looking for someone to join our board.
