MXT is where technology crosses borders and reshapes entire industries. More than a conference, it is a place where innovation and inspiration come together and where technology-driven and world-changing entrepreneurs come together to arrive at groundbreaking ideas and groundbreaking conversations.
MXT's programme consists of various keynotes, workshops, panels, inspiration sessions, networking, coaching and investment opportunities, side events, dinners, drinks and parties and will take place during Eurosonic Noorderslag on 15 and 16 January 2025 in Groningen. The programme is aimed at tech founders, startups, scale-ups, investors, ecosystem partners and technology-driven enthusiasts.
Job tasks and duties
Tasks and responsibilities:
We have a number of volunteer roles, where we give you a small outline here of what to expect.
- Set-up and take-down:During the set-up and take-down of MXT2025, you will have the most diverse work of the entire conference. You will be a set-builder, mover, point person, handyman, cleaner and all in one. Together with the team, you will make sure MXT's venue looks tip-top in no time.
- Location manager: Sometimes there are several programme elements at several locations. You make sure at the location where you are the venue manager that everything goes according to plan. Is that not the case? Then you fix it!
- Bartender: As a bartender, you are probably the most popular person on MXT. People can come to you for a refreshing beer, fresh coffee or a delicious soda.
- Registration/accreditation: With you, visitors come by to have their ticket scanned and collect their band. Also, if they have any questions, you are the central point they can turn to.
- Host: As a host, you are the welcoming face of the conference. You will refer people who do not yet have a wristband to registration/accreditation and those with a wristband will be welcomed and allowed to walk through.
- Runner: There is a lot happening during MXT and undoubtedly there are last-minute things to be arranged or help needed. You are that person! You are the jack-of-all-trades that we can deploy where needed. Think of moving materials, doing a last-minute errand, assisting in the catering or entrance, and much more.
- Photographer/communications: If you're gigantically good at taking photos or have experience in content creation, you'll be a good fit for the media team. You will ensure that MXT gets the (online) attention it deserves.

As a volunteer at MXT2025, we offer you the following:
- Practical experience in the field of event management, with possible opportunity to gain specific competences you want to gain experience in.
- Possibility to register hours for training or a certificate of participation, for example - which you can also put on your CV.
- Access to the full programme in the hide-out - where most of the programme takes place - outside your shift.
- A fresh meal during your shift and unlimited snacks and drinks.

- An invitation to the MXT volunteer dinner, about 3 weeks after the event, where we will celebrate the success.
