As a volunteer at the creative studio, you will assist in guiding participants who are working on their recovery process using creativity. This means that, when the need arises, you will help participants get started with their creative project by, for example, giving suggestions and helping to find the right materials in the space. You will also help welcome participants and prepare and tidy up the space with supplies and tea. The creative studio has only existed since June 2024 and there is still room for development of the function. There will also be space during your volunteering to work on your own creative project.

Job tasks and duties
As a volunteer creative studio, you will be responsible for:
- Welcome people - open door downstairs and show the way
- Prepare space for use
- Prepare and explain creative materials
- Present various creative possibilities
- Making tea
- Light housekeeping tasks, such as swifing, washing dishes and cleaning toilets prior to the opening of the studio
Work hours (Wednesdays and Fridays):
- Morning shift: 09:30 - 12:30 (3 hours)
- Autumn shift: 12:30 - 15:30 (3 hours)
Job skills and qualities
Who are you?
- You are a creative person and have experience working with different materials
- You create a nice atmosphere (possibly with appropriate music)
- You can interact well with different people and distribute your attention to the group
- You have good social and communication skills
- You enjoy using your own experiences with creativity and recovery for the benefit of others

About Sedna Recovery Academy:
The Recovery Academy is a place to come to yourself, go on an adventure and discover your own path. We offer space for growth to people in recovery, such as after a disruptive experience or a period of mental health problems. You can start to feel again that you matter and that you have potential.
We offer workshops, courses and training around different themes and activities. We also offer work opportunities for volunteers.
