Volunteer Ambassador for Diversity & Inclusion

What does this entail specifically?

For the Groningen district, we are looking for a Volunteer Ambassador Diversity & Inclusion (D&I). In this role, you will contribute to a more diverse and inclusive Red Cross. Together with the members of the Diversity & Inclusion working group, you will work on concrete goals, such as recruiting diverse volunteers, creating an inclusive environment and integrating diversity principles into our relief work.

What will you do?

As an ambassador, you will be part of the D&I working group. You will pull together to carry out the following activities:

• One time every six weeks you will participate in a consultation where you will think along and help decide on the diversity policy in Groningen.
• Contact relevant organisations to establish collaborations.
• Help in organising activities that tie in with the theme of diversity and inclusion.
• You will contribute to the development of a future plan to further strengthen diversity and inclusion.
• Eventually, you may participate in national meetings in The Hague, physically or digitally.

• You have experience or affinity with Diversity & Inclusion.
• You want to actively contribute to an organisation where everyone feels welcome.
• You are a networker and enjoy making new contacts.
