Providing residents with just that extra bit of attention that counsellors do not have enough time for. Residents then have a meaningful activity that makes them happy.
Job tasks and duties
As a driver you will pick up/drop off a small group or individual residents to a (sports) activity with the residential group's bus or car. Bicycles, a tandem or duo bike may also be taken along in the bus.
An accompaniment may also be offered/requested during an activity to support the professional supervisor.
Job skills and qualities
- Have affinity with young adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Have patience and a calm demeanour.
- Have a driving licence.
- Be able to empathise with the resident's world of experience.
