Staff member Digital walk-in clinic

People who have questions about computers, software, tablets, smartphones, e-books and e-readers can visit the digital walk-in consultancy in the Forum. During these consultation hours, SeniorWeb Groningen offers help in solving the problems and looks together with the visitor at how they can do this themselves in the future.

As a volunteer at SeniorWeb Groningen, you will offer practical help and create a pleasant and safe atmosphere in which you will teach visitors the skills they need at their own level.

You will help people with, for example:

• Installing a smartphone.
• Transferring photos to a laptop.
• Downloading an app.
• Installing app for online Library, to borrow and read e-books.
• Solving a software problem.

• You are patient, empathetic and contribute to a safe and friendly atmosphere.
• You have an affinity with the target group, which consists mainly of elderly people and people who are not (digital) literate.
• You can communicate on the visitor's level so that they understand your explanations.

What do we expect from you?

• You have broad knowledge and skills in common operating systems such as Windows 10/11, IOS and Android.
• Experience with all kinds of application software such as Microsoft Office, various email programmes, web browsers etc. is welcome.
• You will think along with fellow volunteers and coordinators on the implementation of services.
• You are willing to attend any training sessions.
