By becoming chairperson at Stichting Wijkraad Paddepoel, you can make a (small) contribution to the well-being of the neighbourhood.
You will liaise with residents, organisations and the municipality of Groningen on a wide variety of topics.
Job tasks and duties
- The chairman chairs the neighbourhood council meeting. Basically 10 times a year, once every month except July and August.
- Meetings are agreed together.
- The chairman makes the agenda, maintains contacts with other organisations and residents, and keeps abreast of developments in society and at the municipality.
- The chairman represents the District Council in meetings to be agreed together.
- The amount of work you put into the district you more or less determine yourself, or in consultation with the other members.
- An estimate is 10 to 20 hours a month.
Job skills and qualities
The chairperson is proactive and knows how to express yourself well in writing and verbally. You have patience and a broad perspective on the neighbourhood and humanity and ensure a good atmosphere.
