At @ease, we work with enthusiastic and inspired volunteers. They offer a listening ear and/or supportive advice, tailored to the needs of the young people who walk in. At @ease, young people can simply walk in, without a referral letter and without an appointment. All talks at @ease are confidential and free of charge. Moreover, these young people can visit as often as needed for them.
The aim is to lower the threshold for seeking help: no matter how small or large the worries or problems are.

Job tasks and duties
@ease is looking for enthusiastic experts by experience and/or students with a social studies degree who - under supervision - would like to offer young people aged 12-25 years a listening and supportive ear as a volunteer.
Together with another volunteer, you will conduct conversations with the young people.You will be trained beforehand in the @ease conversation techniques, which focus on good listening.You will discuss the conversations with the centre's supervisor.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
- You are motivated and committed to helping young people.
- You possess the following qualities: reliability, empathy, curiosity and good communication skills.
- You are available for a minimum of 4 hours per week.
- You are willing to work according to the @ease concept.
- You want to commit to bringing @ease to the attention of young people.
- You can deal with any issues of your own in a healthy way.
- A second language besides Dutch is a advantage.
Extra information
What do we offer you?You will gain experience in listening to and having conversations with young people.You will receive training in the @ease concept and related conversation techniques.You will receive coaching and peer supervision together with fellow volunteers under the guidance of an experienced psychologist.
