Do you love reading and want to get others excited about it too? Do you enjoy bringing people together with books as a connecting factor? As an ambassador of the Senia foundation, you help new reading clubs get started. In this way, you contribute to meeting, talking and deepening. Moreover, you will gain new inspiration yourself. Besides the best volunteer work in arts and culture, Senia offers you an expense allowance and all the support you need.
Senia now has 1,750 reading and listening clubs with a total of more than 11,000 members spread throughout the country.
What to expect:

Job tasks and duties
- Organise meetings in your working area, bringing together people interested in a reading club and getting them started. People who did not yet know each other leave afterwards as a group and look forward to their shared reading experiences.
- During the meeting: informing, answering questions and forming groups on the spot that want to continue as a reading club.
- To help these groups out of the gates. After the meeting, it is clear with whom, when and where the group will meet. The group has also decided which books will be read and discussed.
- Collect and digitally process administrative data and provide feedback so that Senia can ensure correct processing. For example, Senia arranges inclusion in the membership records, invoicing and sending out reading guides.
- Contact and maintain contact with local partners, such as library, bookshops and/or other relevant institutions/locations.
Senia also runs music listening clubs. As an ambassador, you can combine setting up reading and listening clubs. You will receive specific support for this if required.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
- Love for reading (and/or music).
- Feeling for hospitality.
- Ability to lead a meeting.
- To be able to convey enthusiasm.
- And keeping an overview at the same time.
- Eye for the group process.
