Interesting about this job
Stadjers Hand in Hand supports stadjers (Groningers and newcomers) in various areas. We are looking for fellow stadjers with a warm heart to support a participant, for either a short or longer period of time. You build a relationship of trust and are able to listen well, but also take action if necessary. It all starts with a listening ear. As a coach, you guard your boundaries in the coach/participant relationship, you have an open attitude and are tolerant.
Job tasks and duties
You will coach residents on an equal basis in a variety of areas: Financial (e.g. budgeting), personal, educational, network-building, education and/or employment, going with them to official bodies such as the City Council, Credit Bank, Hospitals, Food Bank, We teams, Care, Thuisin050, and so on. Furthermore, you will help with accessing schemes and facilities if needed.
The aim is to give people a grip on their own lives ( back). The resident is the starting point. The participant is less fortunate and lives in poverty.
Weekly contact at the participant's home is logical. Our townspeople need you!
