Job tasks and duties
During war, not everything is permissible. Rules apply to prevent and limit human suffering. This is at the heart of humanitarian law of war. The Red Cross's humanitarian war law volunteer network (HOR network) helps with this. We are looking for the
The Red Cross is a traditional guardian and promoter of humanitarian law of war. Nationwide, more than 120 educators give presentations and guest lectures in schools. These focus on the law of war and the role of the Red Cross in conflict situations. The volunteers also organise pub quizzes, film screenings, exhibitions and actions during events. Do you enjoy giving information and can you represent the Red Cross and our principles well? Then respond to this vacancy!
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
- You have knowledge of or affinity with humanitarian law of war.
- You are actively committed to spreading the word that, even in the chaos of war, people have a right to protection.
- You have good communication skills and enjoy being in front of a group.
- You give at least four briefings a year on humanitarian law of war.
