Extra information

Why the DmD project:
Studio Draadkracht and Multicultural Women's Centre Jasmijn want to use this project to offer a place to women who need connection, social activities and enjoy working with textiles. A place where they can meet and develop their (hidden) talents and creativity and learn new skills.
What does project DmD entail?
The project consists of a maximum of 7 women per half-day session who are taught simple sewing techniques. They learn to use sewing machines so that they can make limited-scale production such as bags, pencil cases and cushion covers. These products are occasionally made on commission. The women also sometimes make things for themselves. The women participate indefinitely.
