We offer an interesting workplace in a beautiful museum in a beautiful location with a fine group of enthusiastic volunteers. Our financial situation does not (yet) allow for remuneration of volunteers. However, we do organise regular evenings and outings for all volunteers.
In consultation, some of the work can be done from home.
Job tasks and duties
The external communications officer works on a voluntary basis and reinforces the communications team (three volunteers):
- You help think about how we market the museum.
- You draft messages.
- You edit offered texts.
- Our external communication is via our website or directly to external parties such as the press or potential museum visitors such as schools, groups, travel organisations.
Minimum education level: havo/vwo
Job skills and qualities
- We are looking for someone who has an affinity for PR and good editorial and contact skills.
- You enjoy making the museum known to the outside world in an effective way.
- Skill in updating the website content is an advantage.
- You are willing to commit yourself for several half-days a week.

Museum Vosbergen is located in a monumental villa on the Vosbergen estate in Eelde-Paterswolde and houses a large collection of musical instruments in historical perspective. The museum has been in existence for 20 years and has ANBI status.
Since 2021, the museum has been run entirely by volunteers. There are now over 30 people dedicated to administration, collection management and operations. They also help organise concerts and new music (instrument)-related projects.
