Job tasks and duties
The Red Cross
The Red Cross helps people in need. We do so around the corner – and far away. We do so from the heart and with our sleeves rolled up. And we do so with many volunteers who dedicate themselves with passion. We work globally from our seven founding principles: Humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntarism, unity and generality. Our relief work is constantly evolving.
Are you ready to lend a helping hand?
What will you do?
In the event of a disaster or crisis situation in your region, you will be called in as a relief worker from our Population Care team in the care of those affected, for example in the event of an evacuation of a care facility. Led by a team leader, the team is ready to receive people in a reception location. You are the first point of contact for those affected at that time, offering practical help én a listening ear. Your tasks may also include providing food, sanitation and/or a place to sleep. How to do that? Check out this Youtube video.
Minimum education level: lbo/mavo/vmbo
