Are you looking for dynamic work where no two days are the same? As a general hostel employee at Simplon Hostel, you will be an important part of our team. You will be active at the front desk, checking guests in and out, answering questions and managing reservations, as well as in the housekeeping department, making sure the hostel is clean. In short, an all-round job in a super fun environment. You will also get the chance to develop your hospitality and service skills.
During the day we have lunch together and from Tuesday to Saturday there is a delicious soup ready for you, made by our colleagues and neighbours from De Prael.

At the moment we mainly have space for the counter in the evenings e.g. from 16.00 to 20.00 or longer if you like.
During the day, we can always use someone to help with cleaning: so for example help in cleaning during the day and then reception in the evening: we'll see what's possible. We'll try to find something that suits you.
Job tasks and duties
- You will work in an internationally focused environment where guests from both the Netherlands and around the world stay overnight.
- You will gain experience in different work areas and work in a fun team.
- If you are eligible, we can help you apply for a participation track.
- You will then work with benefits for 16 hours a week and get a bonus of 600 euros after a period of 6 months.
Job skills and qualities
- Service-oriented and hospitable.
- All-round.
- Want to roll up your sleeves.
- You speak at least one foreign language (preferably English).
