Job tasks and duties
The internet senior citizens' magazine "Vlaiger" informs over-50s in city and province about issues of interest to them. Vlaiger.nl is a part of The Seniors in Word and Image Foundation.
We are looking, to support and back up our technician and web developer, for a volunteer as an IT assistant.
- His or her duties include: offering operational and system support to editors and board.
- Maintaining and replacing hardware.
- Solve hardware and software problems in person, remotely and over the phone.
- Providing regular backups of system content.
- If necessary, provide technical assistance and solutions.
- If necessary, repair computer hardware.
All the work described can be carried out at our office, or remotely.
Time required: entirely at your own discretion.
Participation and input is also expected during the combined board and editorial meeting to be held once every fortnight on Tuesday afternoons from 13:00 to 15:00 in our office in the Vondelflat, Vondellaan 77 in Groningen.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux.
- Preferably some knowledge of web servers.
- Knowledge of - and experience with - Facebook would be advantageous.
