Job tasks and duties
Do you care about the subject of accessibility? Then you are very welcome in our new accessibility working group!
What will you do in the working group? We build the database for our website together with Marketing Groningen. This means that the information from tourism entrepreneurs is already ‘automatically’ available. Together, we are building a platform ToegankelijkGroningen.nl, a website on which accessibility data will come from entrepreneurs, attractions, museums and other locations in our province. This way, every resident – with and without disabilities – can see in advance whether a place is accessible for him or her! For the platform, we are working together with Marketing Groningen and internet agency Insiders.
Background info for whom you do it: people with a chronic illness, physical, mental or intellectual disability,
elderly people and their relatives/caregivers.
For other locations and buildings you will do the following:
- Request and check the data provided: you will contact business owners, owners or managers of buildings/facilities and ask them to provide accessibility data, which you will then check.
- Location visit: you go out to randomly check whether the information provided is correct and to discuss accessibility with the entrepreneur/owner/manager concerned. Together we will put the issue of accessibility on the map and draw attention to it!
Job skills and qualities
Can you communicate well, do you have dexterity with computers én would you like to contribute to a more accessible province of Groningen? Or maybe you just have a question? Don't hesitate to contact us.
Extra information
Hours per week: 4-12 hours. At Schweitzerlaan 4 in Groningen. At an office with 8 workstations in the Zorgbelang building.
Working hours: schedule yourself and working from home is possible.
