Job tasks and duties
Bernlef is a neighbourhood restaurant in the Paddepoel district (Groningen). Led by professional chefs, (mainly) local residents work in this neighbourhood restaurant. More than 60 local residents eat at the restaurant every day. The restaurant is also a meeting place in the neighbourhood and is available for activities.
You can gain work experience at Bernlef in the restaurant, as a host/hostess at the information desk or as a shop assistant in the small thrift shop in Bernlef.
- Getting the restaurant ready for the daily meal and/or activities.
- Waiting for customers in the restaurant.
- Possible cash register duties and administrative tasks.
- Tidying and cleaning restaurant.
- In a participation job, you work at least 16 hours a week.
Job skills and qualities
- You have good social skills and a service-oriented attitude.
- You can interact with elderly people.
- You are aware of their vulnerability.
- You can work both independently and as part of a team.
