Interesting about this job
You work at Goudgoed in a team of people who are considerate of each other. You are part of a group of people who run a shop together. People come to work with us to enjoy being together.
As a volunteer, you may not realise it right away because volunteers can work quite independently, but Goudgoed spends its money caring for people and caring for the environment. These are GoudGoed's two objectives. GoudGoed has no profit motive and is part of foundation WerkPro, which also supervises and trains people with a distance to the labour market. For everyone, a structural occupation increases the chances of getting a regular job. People take working steps towards independent living, living and working. The guidance is aimed at strengthening individual capabilities and a better labour market position.
Job tasks and duties
The recycling companies of GoudGoed collect usable goods. Goods are delivered to drop-off points or collected (free of charge). Everything that is still usable is sorted and repaired if necessary. The items are priced and sold in one of the GoudGoed thrift shops.
We are looking for a reliable, flexible employee with a customer-friendly attitude. We are looking for someone who is able to work somewhat independently; especially in the afternoons as the shop is busier then. In the mornings, you will work together so that there is contact with colleagues in the team. Working hours are from 9:30 to 17:00 ( possibly half-day is also an option)
- Cash desk duties.
- Talking to customers.
- Hanging out clothes.
- Pricing small items.
- Keeping the shop tidy.
- In a participation job, you will be available at least 16 hours a week.
Job skills and qualities
- We consider a customer-friendly attitude important.
- Affinance with sales work is important.
- You will work in a team with several pleasant colleagues.
- We are looking for someone with a solid personality who can also be considerate of the rest of the team.
If you apply, you will be given a short introductory interview. If a click or good feeling emerges during this conversation, we will move on. We should then start talking about a good induction programme. Of course, you can also indicate your own wishes.
Extra information
We will discuss during an introductory meeting what you like as a volunteer and what you want to grow towards; what the situation is in which you are and what you would like to achieve as a personal step.
What we as GoudGoed are looking for in a volunteer is someone who, after a short familiarisation period, can quickly work independently and strengthen the team.
If there is a guidance request that goes beyond familiarisation, that is not a problem at all; we then look for pathway funding, e.g. from the WMO, which is needed to pay for the extra guidance. A participation job is of course also possible if the candidate meets the conditions of the Groningen municipality.
