Job tasks and duties

Wijkbedrijf Selwerd is a place for and by residents where people can come together, participate again and develop their initiative. The board of the foundation ensures that everything is kept on track.

The treasurer manages the financien and seeks financial resources. He/she translates policies into money. The treasurer has the following duties:

  • Manage the financial management.
  • She is responsible for drawing up a correct budget.
  • Preparing an annual financial report.
  • Maintaining an archive.
  • Preparing the annual budget.
  • Monitoring the budget.
  • Recruiting (or having recruited) financial funds: -grants -funds -donors -sponsors -actions expenses.

Minimum education level: hbo/wo

Job skills and qualities

The treasurer may delegate certain tasks to other board members/paid staff, e.g. raising funds and sponsors or preparing a financial report. However, the treasurer remains personally responsible.

First and foremost, the treasurer must enjoy dealing with numbers and feel connected to the organisation.
