Job tasks and duties
Do you like helping a non-native speaker with the Dutch language aimed at study, internship or work? Then become a language coach with the Taal voor Opleiding & Werk project.
As a language coach, you are a link for your participant towards finding a study or job. By practising weekly conversations and other skills, you offer a springboard for the future. Language coaching is tailor-made because every participant is different and learning questions can be diverse. Customisation does not mean that you are on your own as a couple. There are group meetings where you can learn from others and exchange experiences. In addition, there are separate intervision meetings for the language coach. What does Taal voor Opleiding & Werk yield? The participant becomes more self-reliant and confident, and you as a volunteer gain a special contact. And, you both expand your network.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
- Availability for a period of at least six months.
- Time commitment of at least 1.5 hours per week.
- A good command of the Dutch language.
- Affection with the target group and interest in other cultures.
- A goal-oriented, stimulating and practical attitude.
