Letting the disabled participate in sports where participating (being in motion) is the most important thing. Then there is the possibility of taking part in swimming competitions. The various regions of De Brug in the province of Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland take part in these competitions.
Job tasks and duties
Annual provincial swimming competitions take place. There is participation in the Special Olympics Netherlands at national level. Occasional international Special Olympics are also entered. The swimming season takes place throughout the season with the exception of school holidays.
The possibility of diploma swimming exists.
Swimming takes place on Monday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Swimmers arrive and leave again by taxi transport. You are expected to be present from 6pm to 8pm.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
- Diploma in teaching swimming ABC, lifeguard, first aid or MFA.
- You must have an affinity with the target group.
- You supervise volunteers.
Extra information
The new swimming season starts the 2nd week of September.
