Job tasks and duties
The Hospice Gasthuis Groningen is a near-home where terminally ill people for whom it is not possible to die at home can spend their last period of life. The Gasthuis is run by a group of 115 volunteers. Volunteers have the role of substitute informal care in the Hospice. Tasks range from doing the laundry to offering a listening ear, going to town with a guest or making a cup of coffee or breakfast for the guests staying with us. You will work in five-hour shifts. Per shift, you work with up to four other fellow volunteers. The Guest House accommodates six terminally ill guests.

To be able to work well together, listen, have over empathy and a sense of humour.
Extra information
In connection with training that a volunteer receives, we ask volunteers to commit to us for a minimum of one year.
