Job tasks and duties
ROC Noorderpoort location Art & Multimedia has a costume loan to provide students with costumes for performances, presentations, films, photo shoots etc. Students/teachers from departments including Artist, Photography,Film, Art & Design and Multimedia make intensive use of the available collection.
Together with the permanent employee, you will be responsible for the issue and management of clothing and props from the costume workshop.
- Guiding and supporting students in finding the right clothes for their specified themes.
- Maintaining the clothes: washing, ironing, repairing if necessary, sorting by category and hanging them back.
- Keep attributes and props in good condition.
Job skills and qualities
- Good contact skills (you must be able to deal with young people aged between 16 and 21).
- Affinity with theatre and arts.
- Organisational and planning talent.
- Some experience and dexterity with needle and thread so you can make minor repairs is included.
Extra information
- There are several volunteers working in the costume shop under the supervision of a permanent employee.
- This job requires a Certificate of Good Conduct.
